Mycelium on Agar Picture Thread 3

I've noticed that people who are new to agar culture or people just trying out a new species on agar often wonder, "Should the mycelium look like this?".
Considering we have a strain discussion thread I think it might be a good idea to have a thread of pics of different species on agar. This would help people to quickly differentiate their mycelium from contaminates etc.
Pics should come in doubles if possible. One of the mycelium from a normal view and one which is backlit to show the "grain" of the mycelium.
I'll start the thread off with my Ganoderma sp. from PR.

And here is a pic of Gymnopilus luteofolius (top view only). Its very fluffy and white. Not a single rhizo in sight but I expect that to change soon since I just transfered a piece to MEA.

I'll try to get better pics with the lids off of the plates once they are fully colonized.
Post your agar pics people!! Actives, edibles and anything else!!

Here's a foaf's "Palenque" from Ralphster I shot. This is the first transfer plate from another not pictured plate on which 2 drops from the syringe were placed:

This is a second transfer, from that plate, what became the "A" substrain:

This is another "A" transfer that sectored again:

And this is a second transfer, from the first plate also, which became "B":

Nice to see that this thread has gotten moving.
Here's another shot of the Ganoderma mycelium. This is a pic of the first transfer. You can see that I knocked a small piece mycelium off by accident near the edge of the plate.

That pic was taken about 5 days ago. The plate is now completely covered. Gano's are fast!

I really liked this thread and hope more will post pics so I am posting some new cultures of mine to try and get this moving again. This is such a great idea and helps us learn variation as well as similarities between different forms macroscopically. Please post!

BlimeyGrimey, That entire set you just posted... anything contaminated in there? Maybe I'm just not used to seeing mycelium that is not white. Some of those plates look frightening to me!
btw, I'm glad this thread was resurrected.

None of it is contaminated.
The Morchella mycelium is actually very wispy and grey colored but it is on a very dark agar blend. The tan colored growths are sclerotia.
The Panaeolopsis mycelium resembles most Panaeolus species except it forms bluing pseudo/sclerotia.
Here's a better picture of the Panaeolopsis.

The guilartensis mycelium is very odd. It starts out white and then turns tan to mustard yellow as it ages. From time to time it also has a faint green tint to it. It grows VERY slowly on malt agar.
Here's a pic of an EQ clone pinning in a plate.

And here is some Psilocybe baeocystis on MEA. There is some visible bacterial contamination on this plate.
